widdleafwee on "Cannot transfer blog to this user"

I've had a blog on WordPress for several months now. I created another blog on the same account about a month ago, and am now trying to transfer that blog to a friend. So, I figured I could transfer New Blog to one of her two email addresses (at gmail and ymail) - but I got a "You cannot transfer blog to this user" message for both. Very annoying.

This would be a really ass-backwards way to go about it, but would I need to create a whole other WordPress account first? My next plan of action is to do that - create a whole new account, then attempt to transfer New Blog to the username associated with that account. Is that more likely to work?
