staffnotes on "Trying to set up banner click tracking w/ widget"

I'm trying to set up google analytics to track banner ad clicks using a text widget. I have currently have GA set up on my site.

I tried doing it using the instructions @ http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55526
