ecomagroup on "Excluding specific image(s) from a gallery/slideshow"

Hope you can help - this forum is generally bloomin' amazing so I'm sure someone will be able to!

What I want: a few photos on a page, then at the bottom of the page, a small gallery of OTHER photos, NOT including those further up the page.
I've read how to exclude specific image(s) from a gallery/slideshow here:

http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

So I understand it in theory and it looks simple. Basically I just need to write [gallery exclude="imageattachmentID"] but I don't understand how to find the 'image attachment ID', and it seems pretty key! This is how it is described in the support article:

* Note: To get an attachment ID for an image, go to your Media Library and click on the image title you want to exclude. You can find the ID in the URL (the number after attachment_id=).

But I can't find this 'attachment ID' anywhere!

Can someone please help?!
