I am having issues getting Category Page Plugin to work. The links to their support forum are not working.

Part of the instructions say to edit the archives.php theme, but the problem is my theme looks nothing like the one mentioned here on this forum: http://forum.bytesforall.com/showthread.php?t=177
I don't even have the line of code in my file that he says to edit.
I am really needing to have the ability to populate a page with a certain category. It seems like this should be SO easy, but it's taking up my entire afternoon. Please help. Thanks.
