I have a slight problem/query that the support pages were unable to help me with. I would like the posts in one of my categories to NOT go on the homepage, but only show up when you click the relevant category tab. Unfortunately, they end up in the "news" feed, cluttering everything even when I don't tick the default category ("news") when filing it. Is this the case, that it is impossible to keep some posts of the main page (without using "pages")?
When discussing the default category, the support forum notes how "A default category will be assigned to any published post *in the case you don’t specify one*." In this case I have specified another, yet it still ends up with my "news" posts.
I have just opened my blog (self-hosted) using the WordPress blogging software and a template, and should technically not be posting in this forum I realise - but it's a question about the basic functions of wordpress in generall, so I really hope anyone could help me.
