craigwords on "Uploaded wav files but can't see them to play"

Hi. I bought the space upgrade because it reads like you can upload wav (i.e. good quality) files and then people can see them on the blog and listen to them.
But I'm starting to get the impression that the only files that can be uploaded and played within wordpress are mp3 (i.e. inferior quality) files.
Is this true?
Having paid for a lot of extra space, I'd like to think I can have my wav files on my blog and that they will be playable from within it.
