laurenceellis on "Copying a theme with CSS / The Journalist 1.3"

Hi there

I have spent 2 days trying to solve this problem to no avail. As follows //

I am starting a new blog. There used to be a great theme called the Journalist 1.3 by Lucian Marin which i would like to use.
Sadly it has been discontinued and is no longer available on either wordpress/his website/anywhere online for download. I installed 1.9 which aesthetically i do not like.

Luckily my girlfriend used the the 1.3 version so my reasoning was as follows //

Log in to her account > Edit Profile > Appearance > Themes > Edit CSS > View original stylesheet.
I then copied the css.

The next step was to do this in the hope it would just recreate the style //

Log in to my account > Edit Profile > Appearance > Themes > Edit CSS > Start from scratch (keeping the line width the same).
I then pasted the css copy into the stylesheet editor.
Unfortunately what comes out is almost there but there are some major glitches too.

Is there a solution and is this approach possible.
I absolutely love the theme and even wrote to the author with no reply.
Sadly i know nothing about html or css but im hoping there must be an easy workaround.
