It’s October, and if you’re like me, you’ll probably watch a few more scary movies this month as Halloween approaches. That we enjoy a good scare is not surprising. In fact, research suggests it’s neurologically important. Which explains the popularity of thrill rides and, to wit, horror movies. What fascinates me is what scares us and how it mirrors the collective consciousness, the spirit, so to speak, of the times.
