abullymama on "yeast problem"

I have a bull dog and when he turned 1 1/2 started getting yeast in his ears the owner that had him before took him to the vet got some meds for him and was told it would do the trick...then i got him and notice he had a bad smell to him and his ears were not looking that good so i to took him to a different vet where I was told to give him some meds and he would be good. by this time I am thinking NO it is not going to be good I went home gave him the meds it seem to slow the yeast up alittle but when the meds ran out the yeast came back in full forse. We clean the dogs ears out every day with cotton balls give the dog at least 3 baths a week to cut down on the smell and stop him for itching so bad (it seems to help alittle) I have used creams for yeast and at this point nothing is working. I took him back to the vet where they put him on a medicated dog food it seem to help for about 2 weeks and then here came the yeast again. I did some talking with people that have this problem to and found that feeding a raw diet was a better answer since you are not putting grains and carbs in the dogs body that they can not break down easy. He has been on this diet for almost 2 weeks and doing better the hair on his body that feel out is starting to grow back and the hair on his under tail is also starting to grow back. we are still having to do the baths 3 times a week and clean the ears daily there just seems to be no end in sight for breaking this yeast problem does anyone else have any other suggestion. For the raw diet we are using collor greens, carrots, spanish, celerly, macrol (fish) sorry if i spelled that wrong..and garlic. mixed all together with some egg w/shell broken up really really small so no harm comes to the stomach. we are feeding chicken and have been for about 2 weeks and that seems to go just fine, for the vit. he is getting vit C, vit E, flaxseed, fish oil in the morning feeding the egg that is feed to him is all part of the greens that are premeasued and frozen he gets 1/2 a cup of that and a 1/2cup of meat the bowl is put down he eats it all up and the bowl is pulled within 5 min after finished stays on the ground a total of 5 min it gets cleaned out each time. I am just worried there is something else I should be doing that I just plain have not thought about. if anyone has any other suggestion please let me know i would love to here it. I know most people do not feed the raw diet but i am trying to help my dog out as best as i can and at this point i think he is just not doing well on dog food. I keep getting the same answer from the vet so i am to the end of knowing what to do for my poor dog. I love this dog as if he were my child and really the time it takes to care for him is about the same amount of time i do give to my kids. my other bull dog did not have this problem at all so this is new to me. please help.
