hi there,
I just made a few changes to my blog and will try to explain my situation and questions as clearly as I can below:
1. I just registered a new domain tasleembhanjee.com and made it the primary domain site which used to be thesmartfoodie.com
2. thesmartfoodie.com seems to be linked to the first site I started off with which is foodandlit.wordpress.com
3. I'm not sure if I need to do any mapping and how to map. At the moment tasleembhanjee.com automatically redirects to thesmartfoodie.com which is great. But I don't want to renew the smartfoodie.com which will be coming up in October.
Would really appreciate your help. Many thanks.

URGENT DNS Issue. Problem appears to be within wordpress DNS.
We have australia30.com.au configured to use the wordpress nameservers. This checks out OK using whois, etc. Caches cleared. Propogation time has passed.
WordPress DNS is not responding to requests. Traceroute etc fail. Page is unreachable. --- Worse still australia30.wordpress.com is redirecting to australia30.com.au --- and again, site is unreachable.
We are on premium account which claims we have direct email access to "Happiness Engineers" - and yet this "community" page is all I can find to log the issue...
How do I get investigation of this issue within wordpress internal DNS configuration.

Hey,
Lets face it, the Gallery widget is great for showing off images to readers... however, it has one very important flaw - it does not allow links to external URLs.
Why is this a problem? Well, if the image is not yours, e.g. like a set of photos or arts works, ideally you would (and should in my opinion), link back to the original artist to give them full credit.
Unfortunately the Gallery widget does not let you do this automatically - it requires you to link to the attachment / media directly.
Workaround:
Put the link in the place in the Gallery creation where is says "Caption this image". This means that if someone moves their mouse over the image, the link is available and if they view the image in the attachment page, there will be a link to get back to the appropriate owner/external URL.
How? Now I am not sure if this is technically allowed, but it works:
Captiontext - <a style="color:#FF0000;" href="http://www.whereever.com/artistsurl">click here to visit artists page</a>
You will notice the style included above - this is to force the Gallery to show it in a color (in Hex) that stands out (depending on the theme you are using).
You can see examples of this in the latest Aug 2013 posts in my Inspire section.

I have lost access to my account because I was forced to factory reset my phone, and I had to create a second account to use the forums. The factory reset removed all my account for Google Authenticator.
I have tried using the form from the "Need more help," early this morning, but I haven't heard anything from support. I tried again and got 403 errors.

Hi all, sorry to be one of the many newbs who is a little lost when it comes to CSS.
Using the theme Triton Lite & upgraded CSS, I have managed to add a solid white background to the posts on my homepage, as the text is hard to read when transp against an orange chevron background, however i am struggling to edit the post appearance one once the whole post is loaded away from the home page.
Once a post is opened, I would like the whole post to appear with a white background, sitting solid on top of the orange chevron as main background
I hope this makes sense?

The last week or so, my email notifications for my own site and those I subscribe to either are not being sent, or else I am getting them 18 hours after the posts were published. How can we correct this? I have checked my date/time settings and they are right. If I go on WordPress.com I can see that the posts were published but I am not receiving my emails nor are they going into my spam folder.

So my old email address may have been compromised and I have spent all day wrestling with wordpress, trying to get my settings changed with a new email address and password. It will send the confirmation email to the new address. I click on the link and save the changes. Then I go back to wordpress and it does not recognize the new email address or password when I sign in. Had to use the old one just to get on here! This is killing me! There wasn't this much drama dealing with my bank! What am I doing wrong?
