angelnorelation on "Altering "Posts" page (after you've made it a sub-page)"

So I'm currently using wordpress.com as my website in general, but I wanted to add a blog to it. I have created a "Blog" page, and in the settings I've already changed it so that my home page is a static page and my posts are added to the blog page.

Here's my website:

But, check out the blog page:

The formatting is wrong. I assumed that if I added my posts to a different page, they'd come out looking just as if I had added them to the front page. However, here I'm seeing a widget overload. There's a widget on the left sidebar with my categories, which I don't want displayed. The Twitter widget on my right sidebar is not ideal, either. (I'd wanted a sidebar for displaying my tags there, but I haven't even gotten around to that.) And at the top, I have "This is the home page widget area. You can use this space to add an introductory message to your blog with a Text Widget or add any other widget here." Except I neither want a widget there, nor can seem to figure out how to add one, remove one, or change the text on this page. Simply going into Pages > Edit isn't doing the trick.

So does anyone know how I'd fix this?

Thanks in advance!
