(I've searched the forums for a resolved topic on this, but none were resolved so I thought I'd post this here)
If your embedded Youtube videos show up as thumbnails in Google Reader, you need to add quotation marks to the post's code:
Thumbnail of video: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdSR8DE1Oxg]
Embedded video: [youtube="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdSR8DE1Oxg"]
