I am currently on the Free plan for my semipro blog going on 3 years. I do pay $28 per year for the current domain which is coming due in a month.
However, I am trying to create a new blog in a somewhat different direction and I want to shut down my current one when I have the new one up and running. (I figure around September/October, maybe sooner).
I know it would likely be easier to redo my current blog, but there are two problems with that. 1) I need to change the domain name to fit the new blog and 2) I am building the new blog separate because I have a fair amount of readers plus 54 subscribers on my current blog and I don't want to shut it down abruptly for several months while I deal with the mess of building a new blog/site.
I am interested in getting the Personal plan, but under a new domain. I can't afford two domain registrations. I also do not want to invest $70 a year into a potential dead horse. The Personal plan outside my dashboard is $4/month, but inside my Dashboard it is $2.33/month which is much better.
Is there a way to get the Personal Plan for the "upgrade rate" I guess it is and have a new primary registered domain name? Like I said, I will be shutting down my current blog in a few months.
